Deemed by NPR as “equal parts musician and activist,” Michael Franti is a globally recognized artist, humanitarian and award-winning filmmaker revered for his high-energy live shows, inspiring music, and worldwide philanthropic efforts. Throughout his multi-decade career, Franti has earned three Billboard No. 1’s with triumphantly hopeful hits “Sound of Sunshine,” “Say Hey (I Love You)” and “I Got You,” as well as six Top 30 Hot AC singles, nine Top 25 AAA Singles, three Billboard Top 5 Rock Albums, and launched his “Stay Human” podcast in 2020, which peaked at #1 on Apple Podcasts Chart.

The Los Angeles native possesses an inimitable talent for combining an innovative cross-genre sound that blends hip-hop, funk, reggae, and rock, positive messaging, and his unwavering exuberance while inspiring people to take on the great challenges the world faces today. Michael Franti & Spearhead’s most recent album, 2020’s “Work Hard and Be Nice,” connects with listeners as it offers solidarity, opportunities for gratitude, observing and celebrating how we get through the greatest ups and downs of our lives with our body, mind and soul still in one piece. The album's lead single, “I Got You,” marked Franti’s first No. 1 in nearly 10 years and landed on NPR’s “Most Popular Songs of 2020,” while the music video boasts over 1 million views since its release. As they get ready to embark on the “Follow Your Heart Tour,” Franti & Spearhead released their latest single “Good Day For A Good Day,” with plans to release a full length studio album sometime this summer.

$1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Do It For The Love Foundation. Founded by Michael Franti & his wife Sarah Agah Franti in 2013, the wish-granting non-profit works to bring those with life-threatening illnesses, veterans, and children with severe challenges to concerts worldwide, in the hopes of inspiring hope and joy through the healing power of music. To date, Do It For The Love has fulfilled over 3,300 wishes and touched the lives of over 12,000 people.
